Step 1
Lightly brown garlic in oil.
Step 2
Add anchovy and cook until they "melt".
Step 3
Add puree and seasonings.
Step 4
Add water, if needed to be thinned. Cook about 3/4 hour. Cook linguini al dente; drain.
Step 5
Add sauce and toss.
Step 6
Serve with bread crumbs which have been toasted in a frying pan with a little oil. Don't burn.
Step 7
Sprinkle crumbs on top of pasta and enjoy.
